We are an active Post and have a lot of fun.  Mouse over the photos to the right and click to follow the link to more photos of that event.  Photos from earlier events are linked to from here.  On the pages with multiple photos, click on a photo to bring up a larger size.  If you right click on the the larger photo, a menu will open that will let you save the photo to your computer for printing or sharing with friends.  What is hard to capture in photos is the many hours our members spend supporting veterans' causes, veterans in the local community and veterans at the local VA hospital.  If you have any photos of events that have occurred with us and you would like them published on the website, please contact our webmaster.

Katrina Aid
VFW Post 56, Leavenworth, Kansas, gathered food supplies for the victims of hurricane Katrina and transported the supplies to VFW Post 3619 in DeRidder Louisiana.  The food supplies fed over 100 National Guardsman that day.
